The membership fee is 60 Euros per year.

1. Who can become a member of the Ramakrishna Vedanta Society?

You can become a member! Anybody, man or woman, who is interested in the universal ideals of Ramakrishna-Sarada-Vivekananda can become a member of this Society. You need not believe in God even, but you must believe in yourself!

 2.What are the universal ideals of Ramakrishna- Sarada-Vivekananda?

a. Faith in the harmony of all spiritual paths. b. Faith in the divinity of all living beings. c. Respect for all life. d. Striving for peace and love. e. Striving for perfection through whatever means you feel suitable.  f. Selflessness and purity of conduct.

"Each soul is potentially divine. The Goal is to manifest this divinity within. The goal is to manifest this Divinity within by controlling nature, external and internal. Do this either by work, or worship, or psychic control, or philosophy -- by one, or more, or all of these -- and be free. This is the whole of religion. Doctrines, or dogmas, or rituals, or books, or temples, or forms, are but secondary details."

Nieuwe leden zijn van harte welkom. Het lidmaatschap van de Ramakrishna Vedanta Vereniging staat open voor wie zich in de universele leringen van de Vedanta-filosofie, zoals Sri Ramakrishna, Moeder en Swami Vivekananda die in hun leven hebben getoond, kan vinden.

3. What are my obligations if I become a member?

No obligations. You can visit this Centre whenever possible, participate in the activities whenever possible. You can follow any spiritual path--work, meditation, yoga, devotion, etc.

4. I am busy and have little free time. Is there any rule that I must take part in all your activities by being a member?

There is no such obligation. However, you are welcome to participate in the activities and benefit from them, whenever you can.

 6. As a member of your Society, what can I do to help you?

You can do many things: (a) You can do some service to the Centre whenever you can. (b) You can talk to your friends about the universality of spirituality, about Vivekananda's ideals, and inspire them.  (c)You can visit the Centre and inspire others to do so. (d) You can study and spread the message by way of distributing literature. (e) You can practice spiritual sadhana regularly and evolve spiritually. Finally, you can present yourself before the world as a Vedantin, broadminded and selfless, purehearted and noble, through your personality and actions.

If you are an admirer of Vedanta, an admirer of Sanâtana Dharma, a admirer of the universal teachinigs of Sri Ramakrishna's teachings of universality, a spiritual aspirant, a truth seeker, or an eager student of religion and philosophy, you may wish to become a member of our Vedanta Centre. In this way, you will be helping the Centre grow, and thereby helping the great cause for which Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother, Swami Vivekananda and others came to the world.

 

 Sri Ramakrishna's life and teachings are for the good of everyone, irrespective of race or religion. Swami Vivekananda has called upon everyone that he has dedicated his life for the benefit of everyone. He says:

 "I want to bring life into them [people] -- to this I have dedicated my life. I will rouse them through the infallible power of Vedic Mantras. I am born to proclaim to them that fearless message, 'Arise! Awake! Be you my helpers in this work!'"

 

 So, you can become a member and help us in the great work of spreading the universal message of Vedanta.

 

As a member, you receive our bulletins, newsletters etc. by post or by email. You can participate in many of our activities. You can participate in the annual general meeting.
